FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the Andrea Cocktail
The Andrea Cocktail is an exceptional, premium non-alcoholic cocktail characterised by a slightly tart, tangy and fresh flavour profile. It is based on a sophisticated combination of non-alcoholic Blue Curaçao, zesty lemon, green apple and kiwi, perfectly rounded off with a subtle hint of almond. When mixed with orange juice, the result is a harmonious, full-bodied drink with a fascinating dark green colour.
Preparation with the Andrea cocktail base takes no time at all, as it is a highly concentrated mix. The ideal mixing ratio with orange juice is 1:2.
- Preparation: Pour 5 cl of Andrea (concentrate) and 10 cl of orange juice (freshly squeezed or 100% fruit juice is recommended) into a shaker (e.g. Boston Shaker) together with ice cubes. Shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds. Then strain into a long drink cocktail glass (35 cl) with or without ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a straw as desired. Preparation time is just 2–3 minutes.
Our Andrea cocktail base is extremely economical as a concentrate. Using the standard recipe of 5 cl concentrate and 10 cl juice plus plenty of ice, a single 0.7-litre bottle is enough for exactly 14 glasses, each with a volume of 0.3 to 0.35 litres. This allows restaurateurs, event caterers and private hosts to calculate costs with absolute precision and economy.
To preserve its first-class quality and delicate flavours over the long term, the Andrea Cocktail Premix is gently pasteurised during production. Unopened, the ready-to-serve cocktail has a long best-before date of 36 months (3 years). The exact best-before date is located on the lower neck of the bottle, directly above the back label. Once opened, the product can still be used for approx. 6 months if stored in a cool place
As the Andrea Cocktail is a particularly striking and intense drink in terms of colour, it is ideally served well chilled in clear long-drink cocktail glasses (0.3–0.35 l). A light-coloured garnish, such as a fresh slice of lemon, provides a visual contrast. If you want to add a touch of flair, combine the drink with a coloured straw.
The recipe for the Andrea Cocktail offers creative scope for various occasions:
- The "Super Smurf" (particularly popular with children): Fill a glass with ice cubes, add 5 cl of Andrea ready-made cocktail and top up the drink with lemonade. Serve optionally with colourful decorations such as a gummy bear skewer or a colourful sugar rim.
- Light spritzer version: For a lighter version, simply top up the concentrate with mineral water.
- Chilled slushy: Prepare the Andrea with plenty of crushed ice directly in a blender.
- A touch of tartness & bar tip: An extra splash of fresh lime juice further enhances the subtle tartness. For adults, the concentrate also combines perfectly with tonic water as a mocktail base.
