FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the Simple Red Cocktail

The Simple Red Cocktail is a wonderfully fruity, premium non-alcoholic cocktail. Its flavour captivates with a complex and perfectly balanced blend of dark berries and stone fruits: ripe blackberries, raspberries, cherries, plums and apples meet the delicately tart notes of sloe and bitter orange. Rounded off with a subtle honeyed sweetness and mixed with orange juice, the result is a harmonious, full-bodied drink with an intense berry aroma.
Preparation using the Simple Red cocktail base is incredibly simple, as it is a highly concentrated bar mix. The ideal mixing ratio with orange juice is 1:2.
  • Preparation: Pour 5 cl of Simple Red (concentrate) and 10 cl of orange juice (freshly squeezed or 100% fruit juice is recommended) into a shaker (e.g. Boston Shaker) along with ice cubes. Shake the mixture vigorously for about 10–15 seconds and then strain the drink into a long cocktail glass. Preparation takes just 2–3 minutes.
The Simple Red Cocktail Premix is extremely economical. Using the standard recipe of 5 cl concentrate and 10 cl juice plus plenty of ice cubes, a single 0.7-litre bottle of SIMPLE RED is sufficient for exactly 14 glasses, each with a volume of 0.3 to 0.35 litres. This allows restaurateurs, caterers and private hosts to calculate costs with absolute precision and economy.
To guarantee maximum freshness and quality, the Simple Red Cocktail Premix is gently pasteurised during production. Unopened, it has a long best-before date of 36 months (3 years). The exact best-before date is printed on the lower neck of the bottle, directly above the back label. Once opened, the product can still be used without any problems for approx. 6 months if stored in a cool place.
Bar experts recommend a long drink cocktail glass with a capacity of 0.3 to 0.35 litres. The drink looks particularly attractive in glasses with a wider opening, as this allows the berry flavours to develop perfectly. The drink is traditionally garnished with a slice of lemon. For that extra touch, fresh red fruits or a sprig of mint are also suitable.
The versatile recipe for the Simple Red cocktail can be creatively adapted:
  • Berry Spritz: Replace the orange juice with cherry nectar or grape juice for an even more intense berry experience.
  • Frozen Red: Blend the concentrate with crushed ice in a blender to create a refreshing slushy.
  • Sparkling Simple: Give the drink a sparkling twist by topping it up with a splash of sparkling water or non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
  • Child-friendly: Serve the drink with colourful ice cubes or fruity skewers for the little ones.
